Family Fun

In Weber County, there is the RAMP program. Basically, they tax us more for Recreation, Arts, Museums, and Parks (it's supposed to be like a penny for every $10 purchased). Due to this, RAMP had several activities for free over the summer. Last Saturday, Leah and the girls along with Grandma and Uncle Andy went to the Children's Treehouse Museum. I wish I had remembered to bring my camera.

The girls had a lot of fun seeing all the exhibits. At the end of our visit, we went and saw a magic show. During the show, Gaby got called down to assist the magician, Fifi. Fifi had two gloves on her hand and asked Gaby to pick her favorite. Gaby got her favorite and Fifi kept the other. Fifi had Gaby squish her glove in her hand and when Gaby stopped squishing, the glove had shrunk by half.

Then Fifi had Gaby put the glove in a magic bag. Fifi shook the bag and had Gaby say some magic words. When Gaby reached in to get the glove out, it had shrunk in half again. by this time is was about the size of a newborn's hand. Gaby loved participating in the magic show. On our way out, both Gaby and Isa got a tree shaped sugar cookie. Andy refused his but made sure the door didn't close on his imaginary friends.

The Children's Museum is located in downtown Ogden. Before Gaby would talk about the movie theatres when we drove by, but now all she talks about is the Children's museum and how she wants to go back. When I get around to it, I plan to buy a year membership.
